I'm happy because I rented a movie called Hollywood/Bollywood. I won't watch it tonight, but I'm already excited. With a title like that, it has to be entertaining.  ;D Hopefully it will be equal to Bride and Prejudice.

I'm happy because I have a real plot for my novel.  I have NEVER written an entire plot in my life, especially not before the story was finished.

This is a HUGE step for me.  Thank you, NaNoWriMo.  And thank you, Ari, for telling me to try.

Along those lines, I should mention that CtrlZed is awesome. He was willing to have a long heart-felt conversation with me last night even though it was 3 in the morning and he had 4 projects to finish at work the next day. Yay for good friends!

I forgot to mention that I went rock climbing/repelling in a gym yesterday. It was a lot of fun! There were some times I got a little freaked out--at one point we had to go over a platform backwards and then let ourselves swing upside down before we could repel the rest of the way--but I did it, and felt so proud! I was one of the bravest of the group.

If it wasn't such an expensive hobby, I would totally get into it more. Another thing on my list: "When I am Rich."  ;)

I've been repelling before in Spanish Fork Canyon, and said the same thing when we were done--"if it wasn't so expensive, I'd do it all the time!"

Actually, though, when you do it out in the mountains, I don't think it is as expensive. You just have to have good ropes and good rings, right?

I'm not sure. I know that to get a good harness it is about $100, according to our instructor. You can get a less comfortable model for around $50, but if you are going to go all the time I think you'd want to be more comfortable--it kind of hurt having the harness dig into my waist as I repelled down.

I think I would have to train in the controlled environment of a gym for awhile before I felt comfortable doing it on my own. And even then I would probably want to have an instructor with me the first couple of times. Which would only increase the expense, of course.

We did it as a ward activity with friends who already had equipment, and we went to a site in Diamond Fork Canyon that had rings set up, so I was with someone who knew what he was doing. That's the difference, I think--it looked easier because the guy in charge had been doing it for years.

There are guys in my home ward (At least 2 familiies) who have rock walls in their backyard.

Hey, did you go to that place called the Quarry over by Movies 8 in Provo? I've heard it's cool. My brothers have gone there before.

I've been there, but that's not where I went this time. I went to a place called Hansen Mountaineering off of State Street in Orem. Actually, it's really close to Tage and EUOL's place.

Hmm, I don't remember seeing it. There's that Evan's Frontier Store I remember but I didn't realize there's a cool rock climbing place in Orem. I'm not one for heights, though... I made an exception for Notre Dame when I was in Paris, though. I got right up close to the gargoyles after climbing all those steps.  :D Did you get to take a trip to France when you were studying in England? Man, I miss London sooo much!  I've made a goal to get back there before I'm 30, which means I've got about 2 1/2 years and counting!

Yay, I finished reading, again, the BofM today. Yup, Heleman still died this time too.
