Stupid, Stupid, Stupid, Snowmoblies!
« on: January 14, 2006, 07:00:21 PM »
I just got back from a cross country ski trip. If I ever see another snowmoblie on a ski only trail again, I am going to blow my stack! Also, if I ever have to go on that trail again, with those stupid skis someone will feel pain, lots of pain (snowmobliers).

Anyway, other than that it was pretty fun, I've never seen a fire mealt the snow under it to the point of touching the ground before so that was cool. And I was warm while I was sleeping for the first time ever on a winter campout which makes me happy 8).

Then again, I am stiff all over and tired as heck, my lunch was lost and I had to scrounge off of the other scouts for food, and I crashed while moving out of the way of snowmoblies way to much. So the question is, does the good outway the bad?

I hate winter campouts. In scouts we did those Deep Freeze or Bearing expeditions, and I mostly sat wrapped in a sleeping bag right next to the fire the entire time.

Hell isn't fire and brimstone. It's frozen ice.

As opposed to Limbo, which is melted ice, and only slightly annoying.

I personally hate snowmobiles for the ecological damage that they cause and because they are so loud that you can hear them for miles (destroying any peaceful recreation in the area).  >:( I'm just glad that snowmobiles are banned were I'm taking my scout troop for their winter campout.

I'm going to be the voice of opposition and say that snowmobiles can be really awesome. I once got taken on a date snowmobiling up Timpanogas Mountain and it was one of the best dates I ever had--exciting, thrilling, and breath-takingly beautiful. I didn't even mind that I was cold! Unfortunately, once we got past the shared enjoyment of outdoor sports (of which I go through spurts--it's fun but you need the $ or the toys), I found out that the boy and I didn't have anything else in common. He didn't even read.

Obviously, it ended pretty quickly after that. Although we did go to a Monster Truck Rally for our last date. Way to go out with a bang!  ;D

I admit that snowmobiles can be fun but it is not fun to be camping up Mount Timpanogas and not be able to hear yourself think because of all the snowmobiles roaring around. I'm fine if there are designated areas for snowmobiles to go, but I hate snowmobilers who think that they can go anywhere, regardless of the risk to their lives and spoiling others recreation.

Actually, Limbo might be non-existant soon, the vatican is considering demolishing the idea...or so I'm told...

Same here.  I never thought limbo was that fun of a game, but abolishing it?  That might be a tad too much.

At the moment, I wish I had a snowmobile just to get around town.

Pshaw, your neuralyzer doesn't work on me. I have Ray-Bans! I still remember that both Entropy and JP were in line before you. And you hardly ever make fun of the newbies.
