Lately my Winamp list has become filled with songs from Rasputina.  Never thought I'd hear an electric cello used the way they do.  Fun, if creepy, stuff.

Right now I'm listening to Natalie Merchant, although I'm pretty much always listening to Natalie Merchant.  Good frickin stuff.

In the Jungle by Ganga Girl. If you ever listen to internet radio (and even if you don't), you have to check out Radio Paradise.

In my car this morning I listened to a CD that my twelve year-old sister made me to commemorate my engagement.  She called it "Loco Love Songs" and it has tracks from the Bee-Gees, Alicia Keys, Good Charlotte, The Beatles, and Brak (to name just a few.)  I don't know how this will affect me.

Telemann's "Quartet 1 in D" for guitar. Kevin Perkins performing. He's not my favorite performer, but he's pretty good. and there's a nice ambiance with the guitar.

Listening to Evanescene while I work on a game engine.  Trying to decide if I like it or if I wasted $13.

Well After listening to this CD about 4 times I'm pretty disapointed.  Bring me to life is the best song and none of the others come close to that one.  It's just an adverage CD with one good song.

I've listened to the 60-second demos they have an their website, and yeah, their normal stuff is pretty tame. Not lame, necessarily, just tame. They should co-write with 12 Stones more often.

Still, right now I have a mix of the best songs from P.O.D.'s Satellite, Linkin Park's Meteora, and the one Evanescence song. They all go well together.

Ya I agree with you Tage.  Also that sounds like a cool mix you've got.  But dang the lead singer is hot.

I'm listening to U2's All that You Can't Leave Behind album. "in New York" is playing now.

"In New York" is perhaps the worst song on that CD.  Perhaps one of the most worthless U2 songs ever, in my opinion.   Sad really, because that's the best CD they've had out in a long time.

Yeah, I liked that one. However, currently, Winamp has chosen for me to listen to Blondie's classic "One Way or Another" which I downloaded in a gleeful fit of insanity (alsong with several other Blondie hits) after watching a Muppet Show rerun where Blondie sang "The Rainbow Connection" in a duet with Kermit. Ahh... the Muppet Show...

My favorite Muppet Show of all time was when Paul Simon came on. Gonzo sings to Paul in his dressing room one of his own creations, "For Yoooooouuuu." "For you, I'd fry my legs and eat them too, wash my hair in sticky glue...." etc. Hilarious. He also calls Paul's guitar a clarinet right after claiming he's "musically educated." If you haven't seen it you have to. They also do a hilarious skit with Paul and the Muppets in medieval garb and Paul singing "Scarborough Fair" with the Muppets doing their normal antics all around him. As usual, somebody says something about pigs that Piggy takes the wrong way and "hi-ya!" she gets them and causes chaos.

Okay, so it's a common thread for the Muppets, but they have a way of making it hilarious every time.

I don't ever tire of the muppet's antics.  Especially Sam the Eagle and Lou Zealand.  The bit players are the funniest to me.

Back to music though.  This thread inspired me to download "The Rainbow Connection" which I'm currenlty listening to.

I'm listening to Meteora, which Sprig kindly loaned to me.

It's too bad to hear about that Evanescence CD.  Most of the reviews have been lukewarm.  It was still number six on the charts this week, though.  All the reviews warn not to expect NuRock, except Bring me to Life.  Maybe I'll have to borrow it from you, Sprig.
