Novel in a month II
« on: November 21, 2003, 12:47:25 PM »
I'm really sorry, guys. I resisted as long as I could . . . truly.

Saint: That's an okay death scene. I think you could do better.

Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help those of you still struggling. I'm excited to start up again next week myself, and maybe some of my enthusiasm could help you.

You're right. I let her off to easy. Natira needs to die with shame. I'll marry her off to Sir Carl, and then NOT kill her.

A question for those keeping calendars: what should we be at as of today?

And make sure that their children (they should have at least fourteen) are all girls, look exactly like Natira, and behave exactly like Carl.

I like your quote fuzzy.

I think they are trying to get me to rise to some kind of bait or other. But it's so easy to upset me about Natira and Sir Carl I'm not quite sure why they are bothering. . . .

Today you should reach 35k words.

Awesome, I'm only a day behind. My final count for today is 33,945, and I might be writing more tonight. That takes a load off.

Also, I'll be sending a copy of my up-til-now manuscript to SE, so anyone who's interested can get it from his site. It meanders quite fiendishly, and introduces some plot elements at weird times, and I'm almost certain that one or more characters will be cut in future drafts, but there it is. I don't know if anyone has time to read anyone else's stories, but if you read mine and have some feedback I'd be quite pleased to hear it.

Well, after eight days of silence I have finally penned words once again.  As of 11/21 I have 24,127.  I did over 6000 words yesterday.

If I actually make 50,000 I'm going to get some bonus points for flair.

lol.  Congrats, Kije.

By the way, I'm officially boycotting the posting of any numbers on this thread.  I, personally, like long threads--makes me feel like we've accomplished something extremely time-wasterly.  So, I'm going to try and stick to the main thread.  Let MoD restart 'These stupid titles' whenever she wants--she's the one who began the thread.  This one, however, is SE's.

Of all the things one could boycott, this thread seems relatively unimportant.  Is it worthy of boycotting?
