So there are some books in the Hotel's Lost and Found that I might just acquire for myself. They were left there about 4 or 5 months ago.

The books are:
Attraction: Forecasting Battle Casualties and Equipment Losses in MOdern War
Army Officer's Guide 45th ed.
Soldier's Manual of Common Tasks: Skill Level 1
English for Military Leaders

So worthwhile reference material or shelf warmers?

are you interested in the mundane aspects of military aspects (many people are)? If you are, they'd be good reading.

The only other reading I can thing of is that you want to write some really well researched military fiction.
