Hear hear.   Victorian lit is tolerable, if a bit smug but it's better than Modern crap.
Reading too much Hemingway or Joyce always me start yelling at people.

It was interesting reading the westerns from the same period as Victorian lit in my two classes though- same time period, different universes.  I was proud to be an American.

I think Victorian fiction is so funny.

I really wish my American Novel class had read more of literature other than Faulkener, et al. BLAH!!

So, what show time would you (fuzzy and Brenna) like to shoot for? I figure that I can pick Brenna up first and she can show me where fuzzy lives.

women can't be expected to understand Hemingway.

I understand Hemingway. He's way better than Faulkner, imo--though I will admit that I've never really given Faulkner much of a chance. To be frank, I'd rather eat vegetables than read Faulkner.

I just think he's full of crap.

At heart? About 6. To my credit, I don't throw temper tantrums when forced to eat them, but I do tend to avoid them.

EDIT: To my credit?? How about, "in my defense". Battin' 100 today.

Hemmingway WAS full of crap.  But he was less full of crap than most Modernists because he actually killed himself- the rest were just posuers.

And Izzy- when do you even work?  I am sleeping in tomorrow and that is IT.  Obviously an earlier and therefore cheaper movie would be better, but I don't know when you're free. About 4pm would be happy for me.

Sadly, I work an 8 hr day, so that means it has to be evening. Earliest I can get out is 5:00, which means it will be about 5:30 before I get to Wymount.

exactly!  I'm free whenever.  I have to work, but only in the morning tomorrow. Just let us know when you can go, Izzy, and we can work with that.

Oh! I guess that's true.

Here are the show times:
7:00 and 9:20 at the Provo Mall.

I'm thinking 7.

I want a report. Preferably from all three, so I can get a balanced view. Izzy and I don't always have matching tastes in movies.  ;)

Yes I would definitely prefer 7.
But let's go early so we can buy tickets and wander around the mall.

7 is good for me.  When are we actually leaving for the mall?
