Found this DVD in the Wal-Mart $5 bin.

Who WROTE this movie?? They just don't do dialouge like this anymore.

I remember enjoying that movie a lot. Unfortunately, because unsuccessful sequels are cheaper, the one seen more often on cable was Short Circuit 2. Which wasn't NEARLY as good.

It was written, incidentally, by Brent Maddock and S.S. Wilson. They generally work as a team, and have written some bad movies, including the sequel, all four Tremors movies and Wild, Wild West. Though he did also do Batteries Not Included and Heart and Souls, both of which were fun, though not really great. Cartoon fans will enjoy the fact that Wilson also wrote for the cartoon series MASK.

I enjoyed that fact. But I enjoyed a lot of those movies SE spouted off too.

I couldn't believe I'd completely forgotten about the existence of the middle eastern guy who has all the ridiculous lines.  I used to have a .wav of him saying "You will be awarded a cake!" but never knew what it was from.

Okay....how am I supposed to interpret that?  Regarding our past SE, I still don't understand how I'm supposed to interpret your remarks.  Were you being sarcastic?  Are you saying that I shouldn't have participated in this discussion?  Because I understand it that everyone is allowed to participate or is the magnificent MoreDew not allowed? ???

it wasn't to say you shouldn't participate. It was to say that your specific comment really didn't add much to a conversation where people were talking about the good things in a movie. It was unhelpful: negative without providing any reasons or context.
