All Of Me
« on: January 12, 2005, 05:57:00 AM »
I had bought the Man With Two Brains a few weeks ago and watched it with my dad, and it reminded him of this other Steve Martin show called All Of Me.  So I went and bought it too, its dang funny.

Heh, the 5 or so I got so far were from Wal-Mart for like 5.00 to 7.50; Haven't saw Dirty Rotten Scoundrels there yet, but I've only checked the one by my house.  I noticed they tend to stock different movies in different stores, especially older movies.

Heh, one of the funniest things is in the Man With Two Brains.  Lets see if I can find the quote on IMDB, since there's no way I could remember the whole thing.

Dang, can't find the whole quote... I'll pop in the dvd.

Martin (after hitting a woman in his car): Little girl?

Girl: Yes sir.

Martin: I want you to do something very important, all right?

Girl: Okay

Martin: I want you to run home and I want you to call the ER of North Bank of General Hospital, 9321000.  Tell them to set up OR6 immediately, and contact anaesthesiologist Esadella Tora 4722212, beat 12.  Have them to send an ambulance with a paramedic crew, light IV, defib and W, KVO.  Got it?

Girl: Yeah, North Bank of General Hospital, 9321000.  OR6 contact anaesthesiologist Esadella Tora, 4 722212, beat 12, Ambulance with paramedics and light IV, defib and W, KVO.

Martin: That's good.

Girl (while shaking head): Sounds like a subdural haematoma to me.

Martin: Oh it does, does it?  Well its not your job to diagnose!

Girl: But I thought...

Martin: You thought, you thought!  Just go!  Three years of nursery school and you think you know it all, but your still wet behind the ears.  Its not a subdural haematoma, its epidural, ha!!  G** da**, that makes me mad! (Shakes fist)

Lol, nice one.  I don't think I'd ever saw Man With Two Brains, then I was looking at movies and some guy recommended it.

Into the mud scum queen!!

Since it hadn't been mentioned yet, I think The Jerk is one of his all-time best. I kinda feel bad for him with the whole Pink Panther thing. Some things should just be left alone

His best were the ones he made up. He's been doing a LOT of remakes in the last decade and a half. Most of them not as good as his other work.
