I, obviously, don't know either of them but I think the writer might have over analyzed somethings.  Nevertheless it's still and interesting article.

I agree that there's a lot of overanalyzation going on--and a surprising amount of pessimism. It's simply impossible for this author to beleive that two directors (who are good friends and have worked together several times) are actually sincere about anything. I don't get it. It's an interesting take, but not one that I put much credence in.
