It could be better, but who can pass up Spielburgian sci-fi goodness?

I'm very interested in seeing this -- it's been quite some time since a film has gotten such mixed reviews.
I got soul, but I'm not a soldier.

the film took in about 21 million on it's opening day which is Cruise's highest first day opening from what news articles are saying.
Screw it, I'm buying crayons and paper. I can imagineer my own adventures! Wheeee!

Chuck Norris is the reason Waldo is hiding.

The first 2/3 is a great movie.

The end nearly completely ruined it for me.

I'm starting a spoiler thread for this.

well it's 5 day is 101.7 million so I guess a lot of people disagree, I'm still not caring to see it mostly because the last cruise/Spielberg team up disappointed me to no end.

I'm sorry, but I will never EVER see another movie with Tom Cruise in it ever again.  He doesn't deserve my patronage, nor anyone else's.  This may keep me from seeing a few good movies (hee hee), but I can live with that.  I could not live with contributing to that idiot's way of life.
