I downloaded it on a new install of XP late last week and didn't get iTunes. Maybe it was a fluke

have you figured out how to get the Quicktime quickbar part not to load?  I really hate haveing 500 things that load at startup.

you mean the icon in the system tray? I can't get rid of that, but I don't have any other peripherals

yeah, I get pretty annoyed by that too. No wonder computers run slow if everyone wants something to run in teh background at start up. i don't even use the task bar unless it's a task that I can move off the task bar and into the system tray

I don't know where I got my quicktime, but I didn't get iTunes or a system tray icon with it. Maybe it just came with my XP, I don't know.

I got no itunes with quicktime but i did get the icon. I ignore it since with 36 processes (yes, its a hell of a lot, i'm not entirely certain what all of them do :/) its at 2% cpu and Commit Charge is 162M / 2462M. Bleh imo.

1) The icon can be closed.

2) If you get iTunes, you can uninstall iTunes and keep Quicktime.

Resurecting this thread, is anyone planning to see this? The reviews are really bad. Even the good reviews are bad.

The actors are getting hit-and-miss praises for their performances, but the critics are showing no mercy for the director and screenwriters.

I'm proud but sad to see that our initial appraisal from months ago turned out to be right.

So I nominate this movie for a remake. The sooner the better.
