Transformers The Movie!  (again)
« on: July 16, 2006, 09:09:29 PM »
I did some quick searches, they said it is going to be live action.

Hmm.. I wish they would have showed one of the robots during the trailer at the beginning of Pirates 2.

Anyone have links to such?

Nope, no such info available.  The movie is a year away, and my husband is about the biggest Transformers fan there is. As soon as we get pictures I'm sure I'll see them.

There was a pic posted at Aintitcoolnews for like an hour or two before they got a cease and disist order.  I didn't see it, but from the description I heard, it was Optimus Prime.  He's got a long front of his truck--not the flat kind from the old toys.  People were kind of upset, but apparently Michael Bay said he wanted the movie to be as realistic as possible, and there just weren't any flat-nosed trucks that, when transformed, would be 40 to 50 feet tall.  So he went with realism as opposed to faithful . . . ism.  I didn't see the pic, so I don't know what I think.

Since when did Michael Bay care about realism?

I'm not sure I have the energy to care.

also, I've had a really hard time getting excited about this film. Can anyone tell me why I should be excited about it?

It's got lots of explosions, it's mixing CGI transformers with Live action actors.

it's the cgi and actors that's not exciting me. I know I *should* think it's cool, but I don't. I don't hate the idea. I'm just... bored.

I just want to take this opportunity to point out that most everything I do is either snide, snarky, or snippy. I have that alliteration thing going.

I would like to get excited about this, but I'm afraid I just don't have enough fond memories of transformers to get excited. I think that last lobotamy I had removed the "Transformers: Robots in Disguise" section of the brain.

So I'm waiting for Michael Bay to wow me. If that is possible.

You're all a bunch of over-aged under-apreciative todders.

Does your husband wear this on his arm? http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v669/Zakkajj/92926720_295184471_0.jpg

I hope you all get crushed by a robot in a very filthy and disgusting manner. >:(P

I read that as "Galactica Nerd".  Probably because I have become one.  Starbuck+ Apollo = OTP!!11!

As for my husband, I'm sure if the very idea of voluntarily submitting to hours of being poked with a needle didn't make him pass out in fear, he would have such a tattoo.  I finally found a filk song I could get him to listen to with Luke Ski's "The Ballad of Optimus Prime".
