actualy yes.  I haven't decided if I'm going to have two attack buttuns and an throw button, or just a single attack button and a throw button.  it'll probaly be the latter.  So instead of the jump punch it'll be a jump kick.  There'll be a crouch attack and I'm working on a combo timer so you can link attacks and such.  But I'm just kinda adding things as I get the animations done.

hehe I was playing around with the speed of the movie and monkey and got this realy cool after image effect that makes him look like he's moveing realy fast.  I might keep it. ;D

ok not much changed at all, just added a duck/crouch to the monkey.  Before I do anymore on the monkey I think I'm going to start working on the rest of the game.  The code i've been useing makes it like an old school platform game (as JP mentioned).  I want to make the game more then just that.  I can do a Mario knock off realy easly, but I want to add something that makes this my game.  I'm hopeing the combat system I'm been envisioning will do that.  But first I need to get the object detection and such working.

I've found that if you start the monkey running, and then have hit A for a punch while still holding the arrow key, the monkey punches and then starts sliding along like he's surfing.  You can even switch directions as he surfs, just so long as you don't let go of an arrow key.  If you let go for too long, he starts running again.

I've found that if you punch you can't go left or right again unless you jump or duck first.

The probalem SE mentioned is somehting thats easy to fix.  I'll have to look into JP's problem, but I think they're both related.

I get SE's problem, and i also managed to get the effect Kjie mentioned. You should leave it in as a combo move, where he keeps on punching everything in front of him.
If you're ever in an argument and Entropy winds up looking staid and temperate in comparison, it might be time to cut your losses and start a new thread about something else :)

Just a post to let you know I'm still working on the monkey game, also I'm redesigning the Advast ye site as well as another project.  Hopefully I can have things far enough along to post some files this week.  I should have a new monkey up, I've almost got platform/floor/wall detection working.
