Ya I reached my goal of getting 500 million people, which is when you can give your own title to your nation, so there's not much of a reason to play anymore.  I've been getting noting by repeats for the past week or two.  The thing that annoys me the most was I wasn't able to make my nation a Corpert Police state despite me best efforts, I think it has to do with when I made the nation I started out as a non corperation friendly nation.  So if that's why then I'm very upset with the game as a whole.

really?
wow. All my nations have almots 600 million or more. *shrug*

What's weird is that though they have three core philosophies: empire building and tradition, iron-fisted control, and boosting business, many of the issues get the same choices by all three. Like giving titles. If they can buy it, Bask is in for it (we can set up a corporation to profit thereby), It fits in with Tyleria's personality, and Ehlers, well, anything that increases the appearance of inequality.

check your "settings"
when you create the nation, you get a drop down to the "republic of" or whatever. after you get 500 million citizens, it's a text box and you can type in anything you want.

welp, I think I decided to drop out. Between crappy load times, no actual dynamics, unrealistic political consequences (even when you accept the exaggeration) I was feeling pretty let down. But now I got the SAME issues TWICE on the SAME DAY. That's just lame.

But as I claimed from the start, it looked like something that's be a fair bit of fun for five minutes a day for a little while. Can't say it didn't do that.

Heh, we should all play a play-by-email game, like Laser Squad Nemesis, to fill the gap instead.

Yeah, let's. Then let's all attempt to lodge pointy objects into our eyes. Prefereably ones that are on fire. And being chased by ninjas, and the ninjas are also on fire. Then put out said fire (which is on a pointy thing lodged in our eyes) by beating the fire out. With sticks. Big ones.

I do think it was a cleaver little idea for selling a book and I don't think it was ever intended to be any substancial game or too indepth.  I am intrested to see what ver 2.0 they keep talking about will be like if it ever comes out.

I saw the book in the bookstore the other day. Thanks to the site, I read the blurb, and thanks to reading the blurb I want to read the book. So yeah, I'd say it's an effective and original method of promotion.
