it is, as you may have gathered, a player registry. does all versions, as well as hackmaster. its a nice idea, and i thought it obviously works best when there are more people using it.
If you're ever in an argument and Entropy winds up looking staid and temperate in comparison, it might be time to cut your losses and start a new thread about something else :)

I tried this just for fun. You may or may not know that I have been suffering for lack of players ever since I left the Utah valley (where I had a problem with time, not players). So I haven't role played for a while. However, the Geek finder found someone right in my same town, not  just the same area. He plays the same way I do, so we'll probably be compatible if we do decide to form a group (of course, we need to find at least a couple more players). So yay! Maybe I'll be dungeon delving again soon!
