I'm happy to start a new happy things thread.

And that, after torrential rain, we have California sunshine again.

I'm happy because it has been it has been a warm 63 degrees in Denver this weekend. Denver's winter is so much better than those bitterly-cold (below zero) winters in the Mid-west that I've survived over the last four years.

My old boss, a BYU prof, is including a diagram that I created in her next book!!! :D Her book is on Zora Neale Hurston, entitled Zora in Lightning and Storm.

A while back, I used Quark to design a cool diagram on African Mysticism, and she had me tweak it a little yesterday for her Powerpt presentation. That's when she said she'd be including it in her book, complete with a byline of course. All I can say is this: Whoo-hoo!!!

As long as it's not liquid sunshine. ;)

Yeah, I'm stoked about it. She's acknowledging me for all the research I did for the book, too, when I was her intern. It feels pretty wonderful.

I am happy and generally relieved that I might have found a new roommate to replace Harbinger. And it isn't some 21 year-old youngin or dumb jock.

If you're ever in an argument and Entropy winds up looking staid and temperate in comparison, it might be time to cut your losses and start a new thread about something else :)

I'm not sure I'm happy, but I am amused: the night staff (custodial) has been playing with my figures. THey're all lined up now.

lol.
I guess they figured that superheroes shouldn't be in a ragtag formation or something. That's quite amusing. What figures do you have?

Thing is, only about half of them are heroes. Omega Red was about to do some horrible, horrible things to Cyclops while Bulleye attacked Einstein.

anyway, the list is in one of the questions in my FAQs

I'm happy that after I was feeling bad for still being in school at my age, I ran into my cousin at school who has just started on her degree. She started college at the same time as her oldest child.

My, my, e, what an impressive line-up! Thanks for the link. I knew you'd mentioned it somewhere but I was being sort of, um, lazy...

stacer, hope you're having fun with your new toy. What kind of PC did you end up getting?

I'm happy b/c I'll be gettinig an internet connection at home this afternoon, so I'll be able to waste time somewhere other than school. Yay wasting time! Speaking of which, for Christmas I got seasons 3-5 of Gilmore Girls. Don't bother calling for the next few weeks, I won't answer.  ;)
