Google tells me it was started by a woman named Joanne and stands for Joanne's Novel Writing Months.

I bought a house today :D
Not a condo or a townhome. I have a house with a backyard and deck and a garage, and a living room and family room and dinning room and four bedrooms and two bathrooms and a basement.

I hope I never have to rent again.

I envy you greatly. Even when I get completely out of debt (except student loans), I'll never be able to afford a house around here with the artificially inflated market. Even a complete dive of a wrecked house costs at least $250,000 around here. It's really quite ridiculous.

Congrats on the new home!

Whoo-hoo, Lost One! I don't envy you the moving, though! ;)

hrm. This is funny. I got a fax from New Zealand and the fax has the time/date stamped as "27 Jan 07 09:27p"

Sarah says:
So, uh, what time zone are -they- in???

Dr. Strangefate says:
i knew they were ahead, but that's a bit far

Sarah says:
I'll say; no wonder they never run out of sheep and wool
Lord Ruler and Lady Protractor were off on vacation, thus the angles running amok.
