Assuming that you just agreed to come visit: hooray! We'll get it all fixed up for you. What day are you intending to arrive?

Yes, I did just agree to come visit. I'll be down Friday, probably sometime mid-day. That work?

Fell, that's really nice of you guys. I think I'll take you up on it. I'd love to play Candyland with Audrey. That would imply that I'd get to meet her at last. :) (The kids were in bed when we came by last time.)

Oh, and I have a bunch of SW minis that I brought to teach my old roommate how to play, so I can bring those. Sadly, I forgot my AT-AT. I also brought Settlers, which I don't think we're going to have a chance to play up here.

Don't worry, I have and AT-AT that I can bring.

Also if for some unforseen reason you can't stay at Fell's place let me know and I'll set you up a room as cheap as I can at the Cotten Tree (about $50).
Screw it, I'm buying crayons and paper. I can imagineer my own adventures! Wheeee!

I've got some good news and some bad news.

First the bad.  We cannot have the party at the Cotton Tree this year or from now on, the corporate office of the CT (in SLC) has decided they don't want employs having parties at the properties anymore.  However Micha said we can show up at his place (ie EUOL and Tage's).

The Good news is I asked him about the recent restriction on how much food we can order from the Pizza Factory and he said that was for dine in only and not carry out so we can get as much food as we want.

So What I'd like to do is order the pizza and other food before I show up on Saturday, there is a menu (it's kinda old though) at http://www.fatcatsfun.com/back.php?name=p16 so look it over and let me know what people want.

Ah, so the rumors -are- true! :D Cool. I look forward to seeing you again.

Hey, I'd like to learn how to play that game... I keep hearing about it but I never seem to find the time! I hear that there's a group of people from LP1 and 2 who've formed some kinda Settlers club, actually.

Stacer, you're totally welcome to crash at my place in No. Orem for free if Fell's doesn't work out.

Okay, technically it's my grandparent's house, but the basement has another room next to mine and there's a bathroom down there that only I use. So you'd have a fair amount of privacy. They wouldn't care one bit. (My mom has dubbed their place "The Bylund Hotel") Besides, I'd be glad to help you save some cash if it comes down to staying at Cotton Tree.

Most of the people in LP1/LP2 who are Settlers fanatics married each other last summer (Aleks and Laura), but there are still a number of people who also play. Not sure if they're actively getting Settlers parties together anymore the way they did when I was there.

lol. That doesn't surprise me. I was at "The House" when a guy named Nathan went off with a girl from the ward to join in a game. So I guess the tradition lives on, though I don't know how big the Settlers throng is now.

Fireworks from Media Play. Nice. I gotta go back there and get more DVDs before all the good box sets are gone. (If they aren't already . . .)

So . . . are any other TWGers who -haven't- posted coming to this shindig?

42, are you still unable to come now that it's not at the hotel? :( (I like your new avatar, by the way, if that's any consolation.)

Sprig, what time are we gonna start gathering and did you still want me to bring some mixed nuts or something? I can chip in $ for the pizza, too.

Also, can someone give me the address/directions to Tage/EUOL's place? ??? All I know is that it's in Orem somewhere. Although I can only stay an hour or two, I realized it might -just- be useful to get directions so I can actually get there in the first place. . .

I'll probably just be there for the beginning, I'll just have to leave for work before 11.

The address is something like 900 West on 1440 North in Orem. Though I hope someone can clarify that.

42 is right about the address.

Shrain, yes please on the food.  I'm ordering and picking up the pizza before the party since the Pizza Factory is on the opposite end of the city, and I'll probably bring a few drinks.

As for time I'm still thinking 8pm ish unless people tell me otherwise.
