Character Portraits
« on: May 15, 2003, 01:40:24 AM »
So I was thinking that I might nejoy drawing some character portraits for other people. So me your ideas  for character or description of characters you are currently playing or character you used to play.

I won't garantee that I'll draw every request, since my time is limited.

I'm an okay artists, so you are taking your chances.

Here are some small examples of characters I have drawn.

The Folly of youth is to think that intelligence is a subsitute for experience. The folly of age is to think that experience is a subsitute for intelligence.

Oh, 42, I've got to take you up on this!  I love character portraits, but my artistic skills are nil.

My request:

My current Demon character,  Carl "Dr. Drinktopolis" Westpaul.  At age 25 he got kicked out of med school for cheating and changing his grade.  He lost all ambition and became a complete alcoholic.  An entertaining, drunken call to a local shock-jock's morning show landed him a returning role as "Dr. Drinktopolis."

He has curly, unkempt blondish hair and three day old scraggly stubble.  Soft features, and wearing dark rimmed glasses that lend him some intelligence.  If I can request wardrobe I'd like to see him in jeans and a hockey jersey that reads "Drinktopolis" across the top with the number 69 in the usual spot.  He should also be holding a microphone.

Hope this isn't too specific, but you've got me excited 42.  I'd like to see your take on him!

Those are nice pictures.

Could you do pictures for the characters in the forum RPG?

I also have a character who could do with a picture.

Joseph Hardy is ~29 years old. Tall, 6'1". He has short and rather messy brown hair, no facial hair. He has open and honest facial features. His body is very fit, but not overly muscled - just moderately toned. He usually wears smart casual.

If you could do either of these requests, i would gift you with the souls of dozens of optimistic people :P

I could crack open the ol' Jar of Souls on my desk for payment. I think I'm most interested in a portait for Gregory (in the Patriot City game).

Now get to work *cracks the whip*

Actually, I said i'd crack open the jar of souls. Which means I'd give you at least one of my captive souls. I'll pay two, plus one for tip. I'll send them by OOPS (Oni Oni Parcel Service)

So Entropy, I have been working on a character portrait for Eric which is starting to turn out to be rather elaborate. If you could give me more info about Joseph Hardy that would be helpful. I like to place people in action poses so telling me what they do helps.

Joseph hardy is a Mage from the WoD game. He is a member of the Akashic Brotherhood, a sect of warrior monks who have strong buddhist beliefs. His day job is as a religious education teacher. He is a very kind man, so he will not have any malicious expressions. In combat he uses a very deadly martial arts style; think about the Matrix without VR, or phantom menace without the lightsabers and you cannot go wrong.

Any other information you would like?
