The main problem is that it's my experience that most advanced gamers want EASIER rules to simulate reality closer, so they can think of them less but not be drawn out by abstractions. They don't want more complex rules so they have to spend more time looking things up and making calculations.

I agree with you, that at least I do not like complectated rule systems. I would much rather have a simple rule system. This is why I don't like Riddle of Steel and Hackmaster.

Not including at least a sample of a setting and/or adventure is a real draw-back to me. I kind of see sample adventures as a good way to quickly start playing the system. It makes the learning process go faster.

And three cat people races? Was this book written by furries?
