I have a job!  We're going to be moving to Maine in August, where I'll be the Information Technology Librarian at a small public liberal arts college there.

Awesome!  Congratulations!

I guess that rules you out of a new writing group here in Utah.  Good luck getting in to Stephen King's group.  From what I remember from his About Writing book it currently consists of one other person . . . his wife.

So if any of you ever feel like taking a jaunt way up Northeast--way up Northeast--then drop me a line.

Be careful of what you ask for.  :)   My sister-in-law is talking about moving from Pennsylvania to Maine.  So we might be headed up there to visit her family.  We'll certainly stop by the library.

Sounds like an adventure.   Do they need any web programmers way up there in the Northeast?

A ha! Excellent, another TWGer has been seduced by the East Side. That means you get to come to the next TWGE ("Twiggy") Con.  ;D

My family and I are traveling to Oregon this weekend to visit my family there. My father still runs their dairy farm, which my kids think is the coolest thing ever. The car ride, about 7 hours, isn't too bad, and will mostly be spent watching movies with the in-car DVD player--perhaps the best invention produced by man.

I got my wife a puppy.  I promised I would get her a dog when we got married and with our seven year anniversary next month, I thought it was about time I fullfilled that promised. She's happy, I'm happy.

If I had any clue, would I be here?

The baby was born at 12:02. He skipped the trip to the NICU (unlike his older brothers). So everything seems to be going well.

Well, along with Lost's news, I'd like to announce that my husband and I will have a tiny visitor come around March 2, 2008. We don't know yet if it's a boy or girl. We'll find out next month! We're definitely excited (and I'm excited that I had a lack of morning sickness the first trimester. So double happy things). I have a picture of the ultrasound on my blog for anyone interested. The address is jillenabean.livejournal.com.

T'm happy because I made wonderful pumkin bars with cream cheese frosting. What I call good eats. ;D

What is a Pumpkin Bar? That sounds delicious! My friend made a cream cheese pumpkin pie the other night when he had people over for dinner. It was very good.

A pumkin bar is like a pumkin brownie, but you use pumkin to make it not chocolate. If you want the recipe let me know.
