That's completely flabbergasting.  And expensive.  Any of them related?  Sheesh.  Sounds like my brother-in-law.  His file at the emergency room down in Richfield is like three or four inches thick.  Hope you're past it all.

My (maternal) grandfather passed away yesterday. Last year, we found out he had lung cancer. Didn't take long for it to spread. He was having a really bad time the past month. And so we are glad he doesn't have to fight the pain any longer. But it is hard, all the same. I am flying out for the funeral in MO. Gone until July 4th. Hopefully I can make myself useful, esp. to my mom. It will help me not feel so down.

I called the LDS employment office, and they said, "Sure, come on over, the guy will be here until at least three." I made a sandwich for lunch, ate it, and got on the road. 40 minutes later I arrived, at 2:00, and they said, "Oh, sorry, he's with someone now and can't see you." So I drove back home, 50 minutes. Ugh.

I did get an appointment for Wednesday, but my first impression is not good.
All Saiyuki fans should check out Dazzle! Emotionally wrenching action-adventure and quirky humor! (At least read chapter 6 and tell me if you're not hooked.) Volume 10 out now!

agreed, what are Feel Points? and how do you get awards. it seems the only way to get either is to be like level 20 or higher.

Aww Shrain! Is your annoying boss causing trouble again? You need a new job.

Thanks, Ness. Yeah, work's been rough, especially because I didn't get the job at Tor.  :'(

Huge project dumped in our laps this week at work. Plus, my boss "asked" us to compile some extra data for all of our pending payment files. We tried to explain how it would take a LOT of time to get that data--time which would be better spent actually processing payments. Guess who'll be doing overtime for the next few weeks? :P

Hey, Miyabi, I work at a textbook publisher in the Permissions Dept. (Naturally, I don't want to say which company, since these boards are public.)

(sigh) Guess it's back to the job hunt for me!

Oh I see.

Ha ha.  When I took debate we made copies of my teachers Interps all the time so we could highlight and write in them without destroying the original.  The librarians would get mad at us when they found out we were making copies. >.<  I mean it's not like the class didn't OWN the original and it was usually only one or two of us at a time using it, we just didn't want to kill the original copy.

My kid has head lice. And it's the first day of school.

Ewww! Poor little tike. Do you have to keep him home from school? Is it Carter or Spencer?

They both do, now. /sigh

Fortuantely, Carter just met with his teacher this morning so I have a couple of days before his class actually starts (Amber was in school today, though) since he's Kindergarten. Cross your fingers that the shampoo stuff works.

Uh oh. Double trouble. I think you have to get those special combs, too, to get out the little nits. :P Good luck.

As for me, I was so grumpy that I made my own thread about my latest disaster. Car repairs: why can't they ever be cheap??
