Ugh, I spoke too soon. This afternoon the 2yo dumped the contents of the salt shaker all over the kitchen table, broke off the new stem to the amaryllis I'm growing, and shredded all the napkins.

I may just begin a writing campaign to Santa so that if doesn't already know how naughty they are, he will soon.

Ugg..I really hate BlueHost's website stats program, not only is it a bear to use, most of the information isn't labeled very well and it provides only the bear minimum information.  It doesn't even give length of stay info, and the os/browser info is very vague (it lists all versions of windows as NT 5) so it makes tracking who's using TWG, for how long and where they go very hard.  And even though it tells you, for example, there were 870 search strings recorded it only allows you to see the top 20 and it does this for every stat so what's the point of telling me there were X more then the program will show me except to annoy the user?

Godaddy, on the other hand, has a great webstat's service, heck they even separate search keyworks by search engine so if I were to say take out advertising for brandonsanderson.com I would know which keywords for each search engine I'd want.

Though I did learn one of our referrers is for an Escort service in the UK, if you click leave on the entry's warning page for adult content it takes you here.

But the other thing I'm grumpy about is losing about 10k visits a month (don't even know if they're unqie or not due to the stupid program) since July due to our lack of front page updates, guess people do read that thing and don't just come here for the Forum.

I am so annoyed. This whole week has just bugged me. I have tried to make light of it, to look on the bright side, and there are a few bright sides, but I'm just mainly annoyed that someone felt it was necessary to start it in the first place. Sometimes there is such a thing as too much communication, and I walked right into it this week.

The top of my 'f' key fell off my laptop. I can still use it (obviously), but I'm afraid of wearing out the sensor. I need to go get it fixed. But my extreme anxiety and other health crap isn't allowing it.

Oh, and my cell phone broke so it can't recharge. It's dead, I can't get my numbers, I don't know them, so I can't call anyone. Though, the only person I talk to regularly is MsFish. I can email her my home phone number. But this is just another thing on my To Do List when I'm falling apart and can't "To Do."

I'm tired of my life. I'm tired of my problems. I wish I could give up, instead of soldiering on.

When you do get a chance to leave the house, can you take it to a provider store (Verizon or whatever) and have them charge it long enough to transfer your phone numbers? Can you get a generic power supply at Walmart? I know they sell stuff like that cheap.

Yeah, there are places that I can take both my phone and computer to get fixed. It's that *leaving the house* thing that's a problem.  :P

I'll get over it. Maybe I'll feel up to it Monday.

Working in retail makes you not really appreciate the holidays as much as you might once have. Two christmas' in retail now... getting on nerves.... can't wait to get back into school. And now to the happy place!

Gemm, I feel your pain. I used to work in retail, and Christmas became my least favorite time of year. It wasn't until I had been out of retail for about two years that I began to appreciate the holiday again. It didn't help that the Christmas I was employed in retail I was five months pregnant and worked for 21 days with one day off. Including Black Friday, and the day after Christmas. I hope all goes smoothly for you this year.

I'm grumpy because the nosepad on my brand new glasses just broke off. It's now a pointy thing digging into my sinuses and causing a migraine. Combine that with the brand-new replacement lens for a scratched lens is SCRATCHED! Badly enough that I can see the huge sweeping scratch (right across my line of vision, mind) when I turn my eyes to look to the left. ARGH! And this was an eye doctor who came highly recommended by the entire production dept. at work. They swear by him. I don't get what's going on, but this new pair of glasses has been a disaster from the start. They look good, but there's always been something wrong with being able to see well out of them.

I'm also grumpy because I just got my cell phone bill, and after a year of staying within the calling minutes, the month that I reduce my minutes by 50 I go over by 100 and get charged $40 extra. I have decided I can't talk to East Coast friends on weekday nights. You know who you are. Much as I like you, talking for 88 minutes on a Tuesday night on peak minute time isn't good for my budget. Between talking to more people than normal and talking to them during peak hours, I really got hit. I got charged $27 for one call alone, to a friend over Thanksgiving.

This is why I hate living on the West Coast. Using my night minutes means calling people at at LEAST 10pm, and that's only for Utahns. I need to remember to call people on the weekends.

Ouch! What a rotten pair of glasses. What brand are they? Maybe the eye dr. just started carrying them or something... As for the cell phone bill, sheesh. The overages suck. I sure wish I didn't have to renew my contract if I want to get a price break on a new phone. My phone is crappy.

I am sad tonight. I am pretty sure that the guy friend I've been interested in just is never going to make a move. Whether because he's too shy or just not interested or not ready, I can't tell. And because he's so shy, I can't ever seem to broach the subject. *sigh* Better to keep the friendship as it is rather than make it awkward.  :-\

Glasses fixed! Yay! They're actually a pretty high-end brand, Modo, but the nosepieces weren't very well-made. They were two pieces, which with any kind of wear will come apart. So they replaced the nosepieces with a more durable pair and they put the lens in today (thank goodness--I'm flying home tomorrow), so I can see again.

This is in the grumpy thread, however, because I have conjunctivitis. Why do I have conjunctivitis? Why, because it traveled up into my eye from my sinus infection--which I just realized I had today. See, I thought I was just tired because I was kind of feeling depressed, but when I couldn't kick it after a few days, I realized I must be sick, and when I woke up with the lump on my eye and went to the dr today to have it checked out, she confirmed that. So I'm on antibiotics once again. She gave me a new drug that I'm not sure about. I'm allergic to penicillin, and she knows it, but this new drug she gave me says "amoxycillin" in the drug name. I'm going to have to call her in the morning to be sure. I'm not feeling any reaction now, but it might not be a good idea to take it in the morning.

My youngest son got vaccinated for chicken pox several months ago.  We have now learned that the vaccine for chicken pox doesn't always work (it works around 75% of the time).  My youngest son now has chicken pox.

Same thing here. I had all three of my kids vaccinated with the varicella vaccine, but two of them managed to get the chicken pox about a year ago. Just in time for my youngest's birthday party. It doesn't seem to work as well as advertised.
