Some figures and dials of the new set:

Most of them are fairly so-so, but that Captain America is absolutely awesome. (Though model-wise, Ghost Rider looks pretty cool.)

So what the crap is Mutant Mayhem? Sounds like they're going to add some of the Mage Knight 2.0 rules to Heroclix, with terrain cards or whatever.

yep looks like it.  Speaking of mage knight, did you read the press release for it's new expansion?  It is going to be soo cool.  Oh, and I'm mad they're only planning on releaseing 1 DC expansion this year (Unleased), the lead designer of HC has allready said that Mutnant mayham is the last clix expansion this year and there might not be another DC "for quite some time".
Screw it, I'm buying crayons and paper. I can imagineer my own adventures! Wheeee!

if the DC heroes have been unleased, do they need to find a new place to rent?

I'm just bothered that we might enver get another Indy set at all. Very few people liked the first one, and it didn't sell very well, but I can't wait to see some more CrossGen stuff.

Friday night Mustard and I finally got some Ultimates boosters: I got 7 and Mustard got 4. I picked them all up at the store and then let Mustard pick which boosters were his, knowing full well that no matter which ones he picked he'd get the best figures--you see, every time I give Mustard a booster he gets a unique. Every time. And he always gets awesome figures. It held true yet again, since in his four boosters he managed to pull a veteran Captain America, a veteran Captain Britain, several other very cool figures, and a unique Mr. Sinister. I had him open my last booster, and we attempted to trick fate by saying very loudly that it was his, and it almost worked--I got a veteran Punisher. No uniques, though, so I guess fate was too clever for us.

I'm not overwhelmed by the selection in Ultimates, but I love the models--these are some of the best sculpts the game has ever seen, and they make great use of translucent plastic in models like Mysterio and Ghost Rider. Even some of the little cheapo guys like Scourge, and the lesser known guys like Wrecker, have great models. I can't say that I like the new Jean Grey, or the new Hawkeye, but at least their dials are finally up to par.

I've been experimenting with pure wild-card teams recently (and blew Mustard out of the water with one last week), so I really want to try out the new team abilities like Ultimates and Serpent Society (imagine a Veteran Taskmaster who can move through walls and shoot stealthed characters...insert Homer drooling sound effect here).

I don't think I'll buy any more of this set, though; I have to save up for Mutant Mayhem to see if I can pull Giant Man.  (http://www.wizkidsgames.com/heroclix/marvel/products.asp?cid=39169)

Yeah, like I said, it's not the awesome set that others have been. Captain America was worth it for me, though, and some of these others like Punisher don't hurt. A lot of the uniques look awesome, but I don't buy boosters for uniques--that's what ebay is for. Here's hoping that Mutant Mayhem is a little more exciting.

Isn't that just the dorkiest thing you've ever seen?

I thought Captin Brittan was a Brittish comic book character, not an amercian one.  So you can only blame your own people Entropy.

Well, he has an awesome dial. But yeah. The union jack just doesn't work when used as clothing.
