Buying a HC legacey case
« on: February 06, 2005, 07:54:26 PM »
So GPP said the price of a case would be $300, both me and Kije thought that was too pricey, and it looks like Game Den is the same price (they probaly have the same distributer).  I've been checking up on buying on-line and feel that e-bay isn't the most secure place to buy.

The best I've found, so far, is from from Icon USA which is a distributur at $221.95 after shipping.  That comes to about $4.62 a booster (compaired to $6.25 a booster at $300).  They ship orders based off of when they get the orde so we may not get it for a bit after the release (3/2/05).

I'm willing to pay around $100-$120
Kije told me he has upto $60 to spend, though would like to spend less
I haven't gotten a rough figure from Fell

I would like to try and keep this between 3-4 people so that we can easly distribute uniques, there are 8 uniques, 1 giant figure and 4 super rares in a case.

If you both want to do this, I can send out a check this week (so it gets there and gets cleard in time) or someone else can use their CC (the card wont be charged until the case is shipped).
Screw it, I'm buying crayons and paper. I can imagineer my own adventures! Wheeee!

I could go 80, which would put Sprig at 80 and Kije at 60. Let me talk to Dawn about the ideal method of payment.

Sounds good, I'll plan on paying for whatever you and Kije don't (incase he wants to go less then $60).

Looks like we've got it covered.  The biggest problem with adding you Gemm is you not being here when we open up the boosters, we're more then likely to get them before you come to Utah.  And, no offence, I don't realy want to wait a week or so to open them.

lets do
Fell-$80
Kije-$61.95
Spriggan-$80

now there are 48 boosters (I may have done my math wrong) that would be 36% for Fell and me, and 28% for Kije.

17.3 boosters for Fell and I while
13.4 for Kije

That leaves 1 extra booster (probaly just give it to Kije)

there are 9 uniques in the booster (though this isn't allwayse so, WK dosen't gaurentee it), 8+1 large size.

That would be 3 for each of us, or 3 for me and Fell, 2 for Kije and one spare to fight over.  So I think just devideing by 3 in this case works well.

How I'm proposeing to split things up is we devide all the boosters as listed above and all the non-unique fgures in those boosters are yours.  Any Uniques go into a Unique pool where we'll devide them in order.  So Me, Fell, kije would be an example.  Also I think each of us should get to claim on Unique as theres.

So for example our uniques involve Hush, KC GL and many others.  I would call Hush and Fell calls KC GK, so I couldn't choose GK GL unless there was 2 in the case.

Well, that Kingdom Come Green Knockwurst is certainly cool, but the Gap Kids Green Lantern is hard to pass up. It's a tough call.

We could easily divide up the last booster between the three of us.

I'm thinking of holding the last booster for if someone gets like 4-5 uniques in his boosters since we're each getting 3 that would leave the person with not getting the full amount.  Though I'm just as cool with you getting it Kije.

I'm flexible.  Not like a gymnast, but like a man who can easily adapt to however we decide to dispose of that last booster.

I'd be willing to give Kije the last booster.

Is this just an outpouring of love towards me, or do you guys feel I would be hurt if it wasn't given to me?

Honestly, whetever works.  I like the idea of holding it in case someone gets obviously shorted on uniques according to ratio.  Anyways, me=flexible.
