Looking for Almaniac
« on: July 29, 2005, 02:33:21 PM »
I have been looking for a board game that came out in the late 80's - early 90's called Almaniac.  I can't find anyone that has any copies.  Hopefully someone here can lead me to it.  I would be the family hero if I walked in the house with this game.  Any advice would be very much appreciated.

Well if it's not on e-bay I don't know what to tell you.

Some times old games pop up at swap meets during fan conventions.  Also I know some of the guys over at Lucid Raven (www.lucidraven.com) like that game.  I figure the only persons here that might know about the game would be Mr. P or Fell.
Screw it, I'm buying crayons and paper. I can imagineer my own adventures! Wheeee!

I've managed to find games like that just by scouring on line. Before ebay hit it big some people offered things like that for sale on their web site, and you had to write them to arrange it. Some of those sites are still up and the stuff was never sold.

ya but even a google search doesn't bring up anything but our site (due to that Lucid Raven interview) and a bunch of forums where members have the username Almaniac.

I own Almaniac and also run a small toy store in Baltimore.  I'm trying to get in touch with the maker so that we can sell the game.  I'll post if I get any results.
