Nights of a wintery varienty, in the land of never
« on: January 30, 2004, 08:42:55 PM »
So, i got my copy up and running, and hopefully tomorrow will have both expansions going. Does anyone fancy going through some modules online, like the dreamcatcher series?

get me a working computer that can run it, I'd LOVE to. Love NWN. Just can't play it right now.

I think we tried this before, unsuccessfully.  I hope we can do it this time as playing with friends is how NWN is meant to be played.

In other words, I'm all for it! :)

Now someone just needs to learn to DM it.

Oh, I only have the first expansion though...

Cool beans. You would need to set aside a time during the afternoon, in order for me to be able to make it. I am 7 hours ahead of SE... that makes you 5 hours behind me, right Mr P?

Here's hoping we can pull it off, i love NWN and would love it even more online, (with voice-com even, but thats a bit painful for 56k i think).

As long as you are patched up to 1.61 you have no compatability issues to worry about, but you cannot play mods that use the tilesets and monsters in the expansions. Just means i can make chars with the new feats, spells and prestige classes that you guys cant.

How about this... you guys free next wednesday?

It would have to be late wednesday for me...like 11pm CST, but I could do it then.

Actually, i think thats 6am for me SE. Which i can infact do, assuming i don't sleep. Or use an alarm clock and get stressed enough about having to get up for work to actually get up.

I checked on IRC - if we do this, i can use the new spells, feats, prestige classes and familiars from HOTU, while Mr P can use the ones from the 1st one, but Spriggan will be confined to vanilla NWN choices. Just make sure you are patched up. And we would need modules that don't use tilesets or monsters from the expansions.

Oh... how about today/tonight? If you guys can make it. I'm thinking we could try

actually no, it's 8. You determined you were six hours ahead of me (when it's 2 here, it's 8 where you are). I am one hour ahead of Dr. P (he's central, when it's 2 here, it's 1 there).  Spriggan is another hour behind that (when it's 2 here, it's 12 there).

Which means that if Sprig can't play "till about 1am DR.P's time" than it's midnight for Sprig, 1 am for Dr. P, 2 am for me, and 8 am for you.

Funny, my brother and I just barely started playing NWN together online. Currently we're just hacking our way through the original single player campaign, but playing with other folks too would be good. I have both expansions.

You guys have me horribly confused with your times and such, but if someone can tell me what time to be on, I can quite likely be there.
