Castlevania: Lament of Innocence
« on: November 13, 2003, 05:22:02 AM »
Anyone played this game yet?  I have yet had the chance to rent it at the video store, and I don't exactly want to drop 50$ on it until I know its worth the money.

Not yet, although I'd like to. I'd want to see it first, though, as I think the Castlevania series has been somewhat hit and miss.

What are you talking about Tage? There have only been 2 bad castlevania games.  Castlevania 64 and the one on the Genisis (bloodlines).  Castlevania 1-3 (nes), Super Castlevania (SNES), Dracula X (PC Engine), Castlevania: Symphony of the Night (PS), Castlevania: Circle of the Moon (GBA), Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance (GBA) and  Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow (GBA) were all very good games.
Screw it, I'm buying crayons and paper. I can imagineer my own adventures! Wheeee!

Well, I never much liked Castlevania 1, 3, or Super Castlevania. I guess what I'm saying is I only like the ones with strong RPG elements.

then you woudn't like Lamaent, it's more like super Castlevania (which by the way I think is the best one) and Devil May Cry.

Although Symphony of the Night was my favorite Castlevania, DMC series and Armored Core series are my two favorite video games.  I think I'll wait another week and see if I can manage to rent it before just going out and buying it.

Actually, I've been checking Lament's reviews and such, and I think it's probably a very decent game. I never played DMC much, but it definitely looked cool. So maybe I'll rent Lament sometime. Gamespot mentioned that it's only like a 10 hour game, so I doubt I'd bother buying it.

10 hours??  I think I'd rather buy Return of the King.  It probably even has more replay value.

oh, thanks. It's low on content and needs a serious recoding to be easily updated, but I like how it looks, myself.

??? TWG is easly updateable SE.  It's not easly Modifyable, but most sites are that way.  And the only ones that are were designed with that purpose in mind.

I think he was talking about his own website, not TWG.

heh, yeah, I was. That was my assumption since w_men and I had previously talked about his web site off-forum, and uh.. I'm ego centric, I'll admit it. The "there" is what did it. If he'd been talking about TWG, I would have expected "here"
