Tale of Phantasia is better. As are Tales of Destiny I & II. Still, I haven't played TOS a whole lot. Maybe if I had a PS2...

I have it! In Japan they remade Tales of Destiny II for the PS2. The game I played was in Japanese. It all starts to make sense at midnight...

I was in Japan when the ps2 one came out.  The combat system looked like they were trying to make it more then just select enemy, select action.  Never bothered looking it up once I got back though.  Think it took 1 1/2 - 2 years to come out here.
