E3 Xbox 360 thread

With E3 upon us I'm creating a new 360 thread so there will be on on the main page.  While I'll be creating posts here covering news items as I see them feel free to discuss anything about the 360 here, also feel free to post your own news since I won't be posting everything I read but only things that stand out to me.

So, as everyone assumed they would, MS announced an HD DVD add-on for their system.  No price yet, but it should cost probably $200 would be my guess, If I were planning on getting a 360 I'd wait until the inevitable version with the integrated HD-DVD that will more then likely be out for Christmas.

Eh, if Sprigg won't do it I will:

Halo 3 was officially announced on the 6th (I think), and will be available on an as of yet unannounced date in 2007.
Bungie declares it the best kept secret ever.
The trailer is in the link above, as is Bungie's own announcement, and here is a write up of it, along with another link detailing the press conference where said Halo 3 was announced.

I myself flipped out when I saw the video the first time. I so can not wait for the final installment of what has been the best game to stick it to my friends for quite a while. All the more so because the trailer was running on the Xbox 360, and not a PC like is the norm. If I can expect that this early then imagine what it'll be like when its released.

Sorry, Halo 3 was so three weeks ago.  All the cool kids are talking about the new Smash Brothers.

The vid underwhelms me. It's masterchief walking along.

And did they jump the storyline forward by like a year or something? I wanted to fight out the fall of earth, not the resistance on earth. Lame.
