Rampage: Total Destruction.
« on: April 24, 2006, 03:40:41 PM »
For those of us who remember back on the original Nintendo and Sega systems the great old classic is back! Rampage, you know.. the one where you are a monster and bent on destroying a city.

My friend and I rented and beat the game in one night.. we got sick of it halfway through due to the fact that, if you die it is because you didn't touch the controller for 5 minutes and although it was terribly fun to destroy the city and eat the people and all, it lost it's novelty after about 20 minutes. But we decided that since we had invested the time and money we might as well see the ending.

Due to the fact that the video shows the exact same style of gameplay as the old ones and the fact that it is being released at $19.99 I imagine it will be the exact same as before.

I will probably rent it, since I have a friend at the local Blockbuster and I can do so for free, just to relive memories. I thought I would bring it up in case anyone else remembers the old game and would like to see it brand new.

I'd rather have the original arcade game that the console game was based on.

It has an original version included on it.

As to whether it is the NES, Sega or arcade, I don't know.

midway games use to have the original arcade game as a flash file for free on their website.  Not sure if it's still there.

Rampage is a game I've always wanted to make in flash myself, I've spent many hours thinking of the best way to code the game.
Screw it, I'm buying crayons and paper. I can imagineer my own adventures! Wheeee!

yea i dont own this new rampage (and dont really want to, after reading some reviews) but the old game that is included is the Arcade Rampage game, which you can find for free on the internet.
