I honestly wished they did a better job with this game, there was so much possibility that wasn't realized like the high speed battles that Fell brought up.  It would also have been a good idea to allow you to develop your driver as well as your car so you could fight on foot and such.

anyway the game is almost dead, http://www.joystiq.com/2006/07/12/auto-assault-now-grasping-at-straws/

Quote

In perhaps Auto Assault's final attempt at building any semblance of a community base, the folks at NCsoft will merge the sparse populations of their varied servers onto one magnificent pleasure palace of dullness tomorrow; apparently that big update from last month didn't quite do the job. It's hard not to feel slightly sorry for this MMO -- they got spunk, you gotta give them that -- but, in the end, it looks like it's just not gonna work out. It's not you AA, it's me, honestly.

This game has a lot of really fun elements, but there's just something weird about it. Like I said in the review, I think the lack of personal connection with your character is a big part of it. For me, there's also the fact that it felt more like a sci-fi game with apocalyptic scenery than like an actual apocalyptic game.

Mad Max and Fallout have spoiled us, and virtually no other post-apocalypse property can stand up to that legacy.

I despise cities in any sci fi mmo. A lot of these games carry the 'cyberpunk' descriptor, but their cities are concrete bunkers underground with no discernable character or interesting locations.

Though i've realised that MMO's and Entropy do not mix well.
If you're ever in an argument and Entropy winds up looking staid and temperate in comparison, it might be time to cut your losses and start a new thread about something else :)
