The US mint is haveing a contest for coin design and anyone of any skill level is elegible.

I just read the requirements for eligibility. They aren't really accepting anyone. They are accepting anyone who is enrolled in a visual arts program or is an established fine artist for at least five years.

The National Endowment for the Arts is sponsering this, which means that the judges must be certified snobs. Too bad my snob certificate got lost in the mail. :'(

The funny thing is that he still uses that laptop.  He has it hooked up to a monitor, since the screen was shattered, and the disk drives don't work (he bought an external Zip drive.)  But, he still uses it.
