Hypothetical question
« on: March 06, 2004, 06:59:13 PM »
Your brother's 27th birthday is coming up this Friday.  Now, this is the kinda guy that can buy anything he wants on a whim.  If he wants the complete DVD set of Monty Python, then he'll go out and buy it for himself (even if it's $100).  As such, there really isn't much in your price range that he wants and doesn't already have.

What kind of things would you buy for him?

(I'm especially interested in any suggestions Tage can offer)   ;D

Hmm, well if you don't have money, and he does.... then your gift should be the privilege of taking you out to dinner!

Ooo!  Alternately, you could get him a wife, which would reduce the amount of money he has to spend on such things, making it easier for next year.

Fuzzy is teh evil.

Give him, i don't know. Give him something totally inane, like a clip of ammo or something, just to throw him off. Or throw a party for him or something.
If you're ever in an argument and Entropy winds up looking staid and temperate in comparison, it might be time to cut your losses and start a new thread about something else :)

If you have some old memento of his laying around, give him that. Or give him some scrap metal. I know I could always use some scrap metal.

you could, y'know, MAKE him something. Like pie. All hypothetical 27-year old brothers like pie.

Get him a vacation, go white water rafting, give him an all night Lan party, Strippers in Vegas, or give him something you made for him, like a fist....its the gift you can give him over and over...

seriously put some thought into what he likes and go with that, be personal and not commercial

The Cheat plush is probably the coolest idea I've heard in a long time. :)

Thank you for all the good ideas, I shall take them into heart.

On a completely unrelated and random note, what's your favorite type of pie, Ben?

I agree with strawberry cheesecake.  With meat.  And beans.  Actually, I prefer a good beef stew to pie.
