Find your alter ego
« on: September 28, 2002, 08:38:43 PM »
So just to see what might happen I typed my name in a google search.
There is another person with my same name who lives in California and is a wealthy ad executive and is part of an organization to restore Spanish Missions. Very cool.

I've done the same thing before. My alter ego writes for Shape magazine and has also written a book called "Shacking Up: The Single Girl's Guide to Living in Sin."  :o The funny thing is that she's also in publishing, which you wouldn't expect. So I think I'll be using my middle initial from now on... Any suggestions for a pen name?

So, if you *ever* see this book, it is *not* me!

have fun guys. i cant really do this, cause mitchell (my last name) is the 5th most common scottish name, charlie is also really common, so guess what? lots of charlie mitchell's out there i think. though it might be fun to see if any of the TWG reviews pop up.

I don't have an alter ego; just a lot of clones.

Ok, I'm bored, and I did this.

7 of the first 10 google hits (including the first 6) for Eric J. Ehlers refer to ME, most of them on my own domains.

Removing the middle initial, I only command 4 of the first 10. The first is some Frenchy guy talking about mass transit. The next two are for a Swedish guy who's page I had to have google translate to figure out (he's a computer geek, apparently). The fourth place goes to some Track runner. And I come in fifth. Not bad since I haven't ever actually finished a full site and publicized it.

hehe, I retyped in my name and, of course it's different, there's no refrence to me on the first page.  But oddly enough there's one to EUOL (from a TLE thing on Loucs).  I'm not found till the 11th google page now.

Naturally, I got a lot of Spanish sites, but no direct matches of someone named "Ryan" and "Jurado".  I got a lot of Ryan Adams and Someone ruther Jurados on the same site, though.

first hit:

My alter ego is a 9 year old girl who lives in Wisconsin. Must be an old picture.

My other alter ego is a crappy artist who likes to draw furries and anime chicks and puts all her stuff online, because, apparently she doesn't realize she sucks.
