I think the staff page should be about who the staff are, rather than shopping lists of their favourite cookies, branches of world militaries and types of lingerie.
If you're ever in an argument and Entropy winds up looking staid and temperate in comparison, it might be time to cut your losses and start a new thread about something else :)

On a review site, who we are is defined by what we like.

Eh. Problem is, if you have a huge list of favourite films, nobody will see the whole page because they'll just stop reading. Can we have favourite films etc linked on seperate pages, so that people can get an overview of all the staff quickly but can go for the specific likes if they want (ie, while reading a review).

I don't know what "rushed pieces" means, but I just want to say that I really like toast with raspberry jam and scrambled eggs. It's really good. I know this is off topic and I'm not staff or anything, but what's new with a thread going off topic, right? ;D

I wouldn't, and haven't, read any of the favorite lists that were more than 3 items long.

To list more seems a) egotistical and b) pretentious and c) needlessly tedious.

Nickname: JamPaladin

Real Name: Jason Christie

Jam is the token Australian of the site. Familiar mostly with his first love, Video Games, lack of money and time during certain events left him instead with a passion for Role-playing Games and the CCG Shadowfist, as well as dabbling in tabletop thanks to Starship Troopers. Lack of money and time from certain events has left him never playing these either.

When he's not gaming, Jam is an amateur writer of Speculative Fiction, notably Post-Cyberpunk, and of 12-Syllable English language Haiku. He studies Education at University, and works for the same in varying positions, usually the Helpdesk. He plans to one day be a high-school teacher of english and Computers, or more likely, to avoid doing this by bumming around for more University Jobs while trying to sell out either as a novelist or writer of games. If you are an employer in either of these fields, feel free to contact him and offer him a job.

Favourite Video Games: Yoshi's Island, Secret of Mana, Serious Sam, among many others

Favourite RPGs: Feng Shui, FATE, Anything Narrative and quirky, like Octane

Favourite CCG: Shadowfist

Favourite Tabletop: Starship Troopers

Favourite Movies: Matrix series, End of Evangelion, Back to the Future, Serenity, Loser

Favourite Music: Kraftwerk, Anything Nerdcore Hip-Hop, Nerf Herder

Favourite Beer: Crown Lager (I'm an Aussie, it matters!)

Favourite Articles: The last Jam Session, my Mystical Ninja 1 review, neither of which I can be bothered linking. Maybe Modern Ninja. :)

Feel free to cut favourites as necessary, I'm not especially attached to them.

In retrospect, I would have to admit that I agree that the favorites list's need to be shorter. These are my reasons:

It makes the bios too long.
Nobody really cares.
It makes me feel like there should also be a "least favorites" list.
It's too self indulgent.
No matter how many I put on the list, I feel like I leave something off.
"Star Wars," "Indiana Jones" and "The Lord of The Rings" monopolize too space.
Someone might be embarrassed to reveal that he liked "King Arthur."
Is anyone actually going to read these?
With Don Knotts dead, my enthusiasm for everything is waning.
It's hard to pick a favorite member of "The Monkees."
Choosing between :"Schindler's List" and Dave Letterman's "Top 10 Rejected Children's Books" as "Favorite List" is impossible.
Pits brother against brother.
Moving letter from council of Bishops.
It wasn't even Spriggan who complained about it.
With all of the suffering in the world, does it really matter?
When you really think about it, there were really only four different episode of "Frasier," they just rotated them, yet it was still enjoyable, which makes me feel confilcted about how I would rank it, especially since Kesley Grammer ranged from subtley engaging to campily over the top.
Cookies and lingerie?
Can't decide between "Casablanca" and Charles Bronson remake "Caboblanco."
I can't tell the difference between ABC News, "Hill Street Blues," and a Preacher on "The Old Time Gospel Hour."
It's hard to tell one Bill Cosby or Bob Newheart series from another.
I hate lists.
