GWotW #3 Week of 11/29/2004
« on: November 29, 2004, 09:39:28 AM »
This weeks word is Woursickle. Go nuts! I figured since I just made it up I'd post it here and let SE get the mumbly jumble "legal" junk down. Or whatever it is he does.

Woursickle!

I just let people know what the process is. Gemm judges, and assigns points, which he still needs to do for last week. Also, you have all week to make as many guesses that do not repeat previous guesses as you want. Discuss.

"We're not even sure that God ever intended those syllables to be used in conjunction." Heh, I liked that. Maybe I'll make up a word for that. =P

Woursickle: Referring to that dangly thing in the back of your throat, but when the throat belongs to a large beast with a very large mouth and very sharp teeth.

Also used as an archaic expletive, referring to what one would say if you found yourself inside said creature's mouth and confronted with that dangly thing.

Ok, I'll tell you outright. I'm not sure of the difference of a verb and noun. Although I can place myself to get it, I don't understand them when people tell me that "This word" or "That word" is a noun, or verb, in that sentence you just used. So, take that as you will, and consider it.

Woursickle:

"As he stepped backward off the precipice his eyes cursed the sky.  Plunging towards the writhing chaos below he screamed in defiance at the Gods who thrust this destiny upon him and the Demons who were sure to damn him.  It was a scream of failure, and contempt."
