If you're ever in an argument and Entropy winds up looking staid and temperate in comparison, it might be time to cut your losses and start a new thread about something else :)

OK, that's wierd.  Replace "bowblack person.html"
with "bown_igger.html" minus the underscore.

I promise it's not a racist propoganda piece.

Slate article about Scrooge and economics. Amusing, and smacks of being written by  a lit major.  If anyone had turned this topic into an english paper it would have gotten an A.  (Because in lit classes, the more off the wall and original your idea is the better your grade, if  you defend it well.)

that might be true in English classes, but is hardly the case in Comparative Lit. i had to be very rigorous in my defense of unconventional ideas, and even then didn't get the grades I felt I deserved for the work I did.

It actually smacks of having been written by someone who doesn't understand economics.

Exactly, which is one of the reasons it sounds like an english paper.

Also why I didn't do comparitive lit.

I saw that linked the other day from snopes.com, which also lists a collection of very amusing chemistry test responses: http://www.snopes.com/college/exam/chemistry.asp

It links to a site with more of the responses, which was up the other day but seems not to be available right now.

I didn't want to start a new thread for this, but I thought this was funny.  I was looking at the TWG stats, and saw two google keywords that were funny: yesterday, someone found the site by searching for "sex ninja", and someone else found it by searching "science fiction buxom bikini".
I got soul, but I'm not a soldier.
