Is Anybody Out There?
« on: April 20, 2005, 10:06:21 PM »
Hi, this is Jeff Creer's original, Greg. I'm trying to find some people that knew me while I was a The Leading Edge.

You see, a horrible thing happened to since I left TLE. I became a lawyer. Currently, I am only licensed to practice law in the obscure states of Wisconsin and Iowa (The Northern Abyss). I would like to practice law in a more interesting place, like Colorado. But to do this I must past the Colorado Bar Exam (not really an exam, more like a marathon). To take the Colorado Bar Exam, the Colorado Board of Bar Examiners want to verify my moral character (at least prior to becoming a lawyer and having my soul sucked out). They feel that the best why to do this is to contact people who have known me. They what to contact 3 people from every location that I have lived at in the past 10 years.

So the point of this posting is to find people that have knew me so that I can put their name, addresses, telephone numbers, and email down on my application so I can take the Colorado Bar Exam. So, if you know me and wouldn't mind getting something from the Colorado Board of Bar Examiners, please send me an email at gregcreer at hotmail.com.

Well, I think you have to email him...

I was just asking because I was lazy and don't know if I qualify.

I don't know how picky he is being.

Fortunately, I don't qualify, having the same DNA and all. Cause, I would give them an earful.

Thanks everyone.

I just submitted my application to take the Colorado Bar exam. Now if you get an email or letter for the Colorado Supreme Court, Board of Law Examiners, don't tell them that I lie, cheat and steal. Believe it or not, most lawyers are really decent people (at least when they start out) it just the people they represent aren't always as decent.

I did this for an old high school buddy last year, and it all worked out for him, so apparently I say the right things.

People maybe, but lousy customers.  Any customer who ever announces that he's a lawyer is going to be a bear to deal with. Now I realize that I probably have dealt with many lawyers as customers who never DO tell me, and that's fine.

ButĀ if you ever pull the "You'll give me anything I want because I'M an lawyer and are more important than you are" on anyone who works in customer service, I will personally hunt you down and beat you.

Lawyers are all corrupt. You can tell a lwyer at a distance by the bulging pockets - lawyers always have pockets filled with drugs. The only people more corrupt than lawyers are politicians.

Nope, just an observation. Being a lawyer makes you corrupt within a number of years, like 3. Same with being a politician.

Yeah, I'd sure there are SOME non-corrupt ones. I'm also sure there are some single nerd chicks. I've never seen one, so it doesn't matter to me.

I am sure that as individuals, MOST Lawyers are moral, ethical and upstanding

That said
In this country there are FAR TOO MANY Lawyers
There HAVE been too many Lawyers for some time
and
Excessive Lawyers tend to make work for themselves by over litigation of EVERY aspect of Life
This nation's foundation becomes more about the Wording of the law and less about the spirit/feeling behind the wording

Too many Lawyers DO Hurt this country, regardless of the lawyers aim

Therefore, those who have chosen to add to this problem by becoming lawyers in the past decade or so.... have (Probabaly unknowingly) Assisted in the downfall of the USA.

This is just my opinion.
Alles!!!
