Well One 3 shelfer is my abridged RPG collection, while the others are for our serious books. The secret to having a great library... Library general booksales in the DC area. Biannually the Arlington County public library puts on a sale of books that they can use (too many copies to little space etc.) we've walked away from that monster with the back of my car completely filled for about 100 bucks. keep in mind my car is a light truck/suv. Its funny just how many books I end up owning... Just before coming up here for the Headquarters Job, I lost all my books to an ex-girlfriend. Probably about 500 volumes... nothing too precious as all the valuable stuff was with me. I have a growing collection of first editions, Rare and autographed books now too. The Armada by Garrett Mattingly... an unreleased publishers proof of The Sun The moon and the Stars by Stephen Brust... the first American Printing of Hitchhikers Guide, a collection of Robert Burns poems that my dad owned, a copy of W. Somerset Maughms The razors edge and a Copy of Mort signed by Terry Pratchett. But my real love is history, and my history books are hard to count. My wife,... she loves art and art history, and so she has dozens and dozens of Art books. Throw in a sizable cookbook collection (another 3 shelfer or 2) and some classics (Tolstoy, Sholtzenitzen, Kafka, Tolkien, Heller, Wilde, Yeats, The Sagas of the icelanders, Stienbeck, Orwell, and my wifes collection of sociology works and its a crowded house. Plus I still need a case for our Simpsons figures and playsets...
