I'm sorry, but I am the #1 Doctor Who fan, and purist, and nitpicky person here and I will kill anyone who tries to take that title from me.

Brian Blessed is a cool guy but he was already in an episode of the original Doctor Who, (and had a great character).  No REAL fan will accept him as the Doctor, at least not seriously.

*I* and I alone will decide if the new series is any good or not, and you will all bow down before me.
