Mold: Good thing, bad thing? You decide
« on: November 02, 2003, 06:46:16 PM »
Alright, I've just incurred my first real suffering to the insurmountable army known as Mold. I figured the homemade food my grandma gave me a good month ago would last as long as it did in the zip lock bags and box it was in. But lo and behold! It sure as almight hell did not! But lucky for me my 2 month old gingersnaps are still as crunchy as ever, if not a little bit softer.

So I ask you! How, how can one safeguard themselves against this unseen enemy? How can one who enjoys a nice homecooked donut or muffin from their elderly relatives keep them safe from the harmful effects of moisture?! Hoooooowwww!??

Uhh, eat them quicker?

But I must expand the time that I have them to the time that I will eat them.

what exactly are them?

Different foods have different requirements, but freezing usually works.
