Hah. Spriggan, Azathoth isn't really an entity. It just... is. It's the thing that the universe moves around, pleasantly enough. He forms part of the trinity.
Azathoth (Decay)
Shub Niggurath A.K.A. The Black Goat of the Woods with a Thousand Young (Growth)
Yog Sothoth A.K.A. Tawil at'Umr (meaning The Prolonged Life) (Time and space).

As you can see, the others have better names. And Hastur, Cthulhu and Nyarlothep are all just other gods randomly doing their thing.
If you're ever in an argument and Entropy winds up looking staid and temperate in comparison, it might be time to cut your losses and start a new thread about something else :)

Lovecraft, Hitch-hiker's Guide to the Galaxy... One of these days, I'll get to them. I'm kind of tired of the strange, surprised stares I get like that day I didn't know who Ford was.

Lovecraft rules.  He is one of the best authors ever.

I'm glad I'm not the only one.  The other day Old One made a joke about me missing the ground, and I didn't get it.  Oh well.

And I probably misspelled Ford too. Is it Fforde? Ah well.
