hey, if people can let me know what they think of the thumbnail layout in that article I'd appreciate it.  I'm useing this article as a Guniepig for how we'll use graphices in the new site.

That is the most creative spelling of Guineapig that I have ever seen.  Very impressive.
Hold fast to dreams, for when dreams die, life is a broken winged bird that cannot fly.  Hold fast to dreams, for when dreams go, life is a barren field frozen with snow.  -Langston Hughes

I really like the thumbnails. The spacing between them and the text is a little close in places. You might want to add a wider margin allowance, if possible.

Text under the thumbnails should match color scheme with other links, but otherwise they look good, except the pictures are really dark and I can't really see what they are, but that might be this monitor...
All Saiyuki fans should check out Dazzle! Emotionally wrenching action-adventure and quirky humor! (At least read chapter 6 and tell me if you're not hooked.) Volume 10 out now!

I'm not sure I want to make the links with the thumbnails the same color as the other links because I want them to stand out as links but the blue I'm going to eventualy use for them will be in the new TWG's color scheme I'm just not sure what shades 42 is planning on useing just yet so I went with a default blue.

What about text size, thumbnail size and the border around them?  the thumbnail is 100px in width and I think they're looking a little small and am debateing increating it ti 120-130 px.  I like the text size because it's small yet readable.  I do worry that haveing multiple thumbnails in an article like this don't look quite as good as it might if I made a whole sidebar just for pictures but then it wouldn't be "in" the text like traditional pictures are.

I actually would prefer them to be larger, large enough to see cursorily without having to click on the larger picture. And don't do a sidebar--in-text is much better-looking. And then you can drop them in where they apply in the text (or so it appears).

I have to go with Ookla and Stacer on this. The links should match the rest of the links in the text. That doesn't mean they have to be what they are now, just that there's consistency.

Also, you need to be able to see enough of the picture to get a clue to what's in it. That may mean taking a thumbnail of a portion of the picture, rather than the whole,b ut that's difficult to do automatically.
