Fine, you want Suessian, here, I shall give it to you.
A Holiday Fit for the Day.
If any day, there was a day,
With less than thirty-one in them,
But still, no more then twenty-nine,
There'd need to be a special day for it.
What kind of day you ask to me? Well any kind will do, says I.
But then we must agree upon, what will be featured in this day.
Sports some say, but some say nay, why not make it a college day.
But still some seem to disagree, they say there should be exchanges made.
And then we all got to thinking,
What if it were a day for us.
For you we'd say, and they'd
Say yeah! For us and you, or
All who love. It could be just
That special for all, and all for one.
A day of romance, and joy, and love, what a stupendous idea indeed.
But what would we do, what could we do, and when would we hold such a ball?
Why easy, they said, the fourteenth it would be. But we're still at a loss.
This was our chance, and we took it. Why we know the perfect idea for a present.
A cactus could be, for they
Are tough and strong.
And a ripe watermelon,
Which is the tenderest of fruits.
And lets not forget, the best of the best,
A book, that lets us remember,
Of memories and knowledge
We never want to forget.
So now to this day, in only one place, can you find such a thing being done.
It’s wonderful you see, for you see, no one complains, and all are quite happy.
And still found of their cactus', books, and watermelons,
No one will ever forget the joy of this great Valentine's Day.
