Video Games / Re: Prince of Persia

Haven't played the new one yet (in the mail currently) but Sands of Time for the PS2 is one of the best games I've ever played.  The last time a game wowed me that much was the original Tomb Raider, which is a cheesy series now but when the first one came out in the mid 90's there had never been anything like it.

Why is it in RPGs and why shouldn't I lock the thread?

You are moderators for this board, thought you should only have a few things that can be done.

All of the sticky and lock controls are at the bottom of a thread, in the left hand corner.

TWG has clubhouse in Home, TWG Home, if you're in the beta shoot me a message if you want in, my id is pretty easy to guess (SprigganTWG).  I'll make the same club once Home is out of beta.

I'm not against making someone a mod of just this forum, I'll have to talk with the other admins to get it approved but I'm sure no one will object.  It's not like Fell or I will ever check this forum.

It's alwayse who you know and not what you know.

I can only think of two jobs I've ever had that I got without knowing someone at the place I interviewed at.

Books / Re: Meyer Stops writing next twilight book

Dave is pretty sure that Stephenie was in the writing class he taught, probably the same semester Brandon and I were in the class. He said she was one of those people who never spoke up in class and who he never thought would write anything again.

I don't remember her at all, but I'm bad at remembering people, especially ones who never say anything.

Huh, odd.  I was in that class too and I don't remember her at all either.

I tend to forget names 10 seconds after I'm told them but I rarely forget faces so she must have rarely participated.

I didn't care for Advent Children at all, actually.  I don't think I've ever found a high-quality non-stop action flick so boring, to be honest.

I somewhat agree with Jade, while I didn't find Advent Children boring it was incredibly disappointing because of the story and outside of the Church fight and the motorcycle one the combat wasn't that interesting. I didn't care who one because of the weak--and rather poorly done--bad guys.

...well, shouldn't the fan art section be an actual page on the site instead of a forum thread? That would be easier to navigate, and one could still comment....

That would be the ideal, but it involves actual *work* and that's a four-letter-word to Spriggan  ;)

Hey now, I actually have asked for people to submit fan art to brandon's site on this thread and no one ever does.

Now would I ever make a gallery that allows comments for Fan art?  Probably not on TWG since it's not "The Brandon Sanderson Fan Site", nor do I see a reason for placing one on BS.com.

Brandon Sanderson / Re: Brandon's Book Tour
« on: November 14, 2008, 11:49:30 PM »
He'll be doing book signings around the IF area during thanksgiving week.

Thanks. Do you perchance know the day? BYU-I is out of school that whole week, so I won't be in the area for 9 days...Do you also possibly know where ELSE he's going in Idaho? At least, the southern half? South of Boise.....I know it's a ridiculous hope, but I'm crossing my fingers that he'll come to Twin. I really want to meet him to tell him personally what a genius I think he is.

I suspect he'll be in Pockatello and IF, I don't know about anywhere else.

I'm not sure on what days but I know you can call the IF B&N to get the time he'll be there.

Brandon Sanderson / Re: Brandon's Book Tour

I really hope I can go to one of the signings he does on his Utah/Idaho leg.....I'm in Rexburg right now, but I'm done with the semester on Dec 12. And then I go home. Sure, home is Twin Falls, but most authors don't make a stop there, even though we have a fairly decent B&N....So if he goes to IF after the 12th, I think I'm going to have to beg my dad to take me up there (although I really don't think it'll take a whole lot of begging since he's a fan of Mistborn too and he's actually the reason I heard about Brandon in the first place...). If the IF signing is after that date, though, I think I'll hope that he'll come to Twin. It's the most realistic stop between IF and Boise, since Poky is pretty close to IF.

He'll be doing book signings around the IF area during thanksgiving week.

I can't mention it's name since it is no way the worst movie every made, it is in fact the most awesome movie ever and it would be an insult to even type it's name in this thread.

However I'll give you a hint, the title is three words long and two of them are Girl and Cop, I'll leave it to you to guess the first word (hint: it's what she fights with)
