Yeah.. I loved the Shannara books as they are what got me into the fantasy genre.. read The Hobbit after them. But the Word and the Void was also good.

I read any book that catches my interest really.

Fiona McIntosch - The Quickening Trilogy was pretty good. The first book is Myrren's Gift.

Now that is good information to know.. I am glad AMoL wont hold up MB3 as I have been waiting for AMoL and so waiting a bit longer wont matter, but MB & MB2 are still fresh for me so I want to read MB3 ASAP.

Hmm.. if you feel you must, but I know my place.. I am a small peon in the scheme of things with not much more use than a speck of dust before the magnificence of the grand oldbies!!

**prepares to be flogged**

I like the Dress Riping/Elend Saving/Shana fighting scene, but my favorite is still when Vin goes off on Kelsier. The fight scene with the Inquisitor is also amazing though I must admit.

I just started reading WoA today and I am halfway through so I havent really picked my favorite scene there yet, none of it has really hit me like those other scenes, but I guess if I had to pick right now I would say the part where Elend threatens Straff. :D

I cant wait to finish it. To bad I am going to have to wait for the 3rd book. Though I have Elantris which should mean I have enough to last until this weekend, but I will once again be out of books. :(
Thats the bad part of being on light duty at work with an injury which keeps you from doing anything productive. WAY to much time to read. Of course running out of reading materials is the ONLY down side to that.  ;D

The fact is, Brandon has been entrusted to the series, so Brandon shall write the series, and no amount of pleading would have swayed RJ, so there is no reasong to sway Brandon.  He has done a masterful job on his others books,...

I agree... I have also devoured his writing even though I had nto intended too.. curses for Warbreaker being online.. it was just TOO accessible... I couldnt resist.. and now I have read Mistborn and had to rush out to get Well of Ascension while I was at it I also picked up Elantris so I should be done with those by this weekend. His work is phenominal and I am glad he was chosen to finish the series for us, even though I was just hoping for RJ's notes to be published instead. I am glad the announcement has introduced me to an author who has captivated me with the same intensity and madness in which I was first captured by RJ.

Well wishes in your career Brandon. I look forward to reading many more of your works. Just take your time with AMoL, if we have to wait 3 years to read it then so be it, we have waited all this time anyway. :)

I havent quite finished the book yet, but my favorite scene so far is right after that when she goes off on Kelsier.

Greetings,
My name is Kirk Artigue. I am a resident of Lafayette, LA and just an ordinary guy with no real life. I enjoy reading a great deal, though lately I seem to be finding less and less time to do so. I was born Nov. 8, 1981, so at the time of this post I am currently 26. I used to belong to several Forum Communities (mostly RP based and mostly Wheel of Time based).
I played a great deal of AD&D and the WoT RPG with a group of people for many years, spending a lot of time as the "A$$hole DM" (what can I say I had a bad attitude and was trying to learn the game literally hours before we would start playing). I have had varied professions and I tend to enjoy the simpler parts of society... thats a lie.. I don't really do social things at all. I was a High School Speech/Debate/Drama nerd with my face always shoved in a book and a trench coat, which earned me a various notorious reputation since my senior year was the year of Columbine.
I have an Associate Degree in Internet Information Systems that I do not use and have forgotten a lot of (not to mention not bothering to keep up with all the new stuff).
And I don't know what else to say. I'm pretty open to answering questions, but have in this post volunteered more information about myself than I usually do without being asked direct questions.

Oh, one more thing. I tend to be fairly blunt with my opinions and thoughts on a subject without really caring how people will perceive them.

Thanks.

--edit--
I also like to write, but cant finish a storyline to save my life and my ability to write dialog between characters is even worse, but still a man can dream.
