Brandon Sanderson / Re: Annotaion suggestion
« on: January 20, 2008, 09:33:22 PM »
Well in my opinion if someone is reading annotations then umm.. they have to be expecting spoilers in some form or fashion. I mean seriously how could someone think.. "Hey let me go read this stuff by the author that talks about each of the chapters before I read the book because I'm sure after reading all of that I won't get the Deja Vu feeling when I read the actual book and ruin my chances of actually enjoying it."
But anyway, thats just my opinion.

I'm with Skib.. Thank YOU Brandon.. because you don't have to be so interactive with your fans.. Most authors aren't. RJ was but not on the scale you are.. in fact I am waiting to see you blow up so big that you won't have time for such interaction either. Anyway, thanks for being so connected to your fans, even those of us who had no idea who you were until the AMoL announcement. XD

YES.. I found it a rather delightful read and knowing its still being worked on leads me to believe that it will be radiant when it is completely polished up.

That would be the downside of 3rd tools.. especially when FF changed the rules for a few things during its version change. :) Give it time and i am sure you shall be stumbling again.

Movies and TV / Re: Has anyone seen The Seeker: The dark is rising.

I saw it and I think it is fine for a 5-6 year old. There is no real graphic scenes and the language is fine. The movie is a bit dark but not in a completely terrifying way. Its a good movie in my opinion.

Its not as bad as when it first happened but I am ready to get the pins out and get back to moving my toes like normal again.

I am running the same version of FF on Vista Ultimate and I have the same setting on FF so I don't think that is the problem as it doesn't happen to me, but it very well could be your add ons... if you go to Tools --> add-ons you can disable them all and then turn them on one by one to see which one may be causing the problem.. I had a problem that was caused by an extension once upon a time. Granted you will have to restart FF each time you change the status of an extension, so the setting can take effect.

In the Firefox browser go to Tools --> Options --> Security Tab --> There should be a section at the bottom that says Warning Messages.. click the button that says Settings and see which of the checkboxes you have marked.

The other part that I think about all the time is when he stubs his toe and the pain doesn't go away, every time I stub my toe now I think of that.

I understood this part all to well as by the time I read Elantris I was sitting around with two pins in my toe after having it broken at work in an accident. Still waiting for the pins to come out and its been almost 3 months now.

Yes if you read around the forums in a few places like the FAQ thread for the TWG forums I believe you shall see that it stands for Evil Undead OverLord and is apparently pronounced yule (from the Holiday Name thread I believe.) :D
