I need to think of things that sound really ugly. That make you cover your ears and go "oooo, that's ugly."
That's the kind of ugly I'm talking about.
If it has anything to do with electricty or mechanics or automobiles, or pretty much anything invented after 1900, I can't use it.

It's for a book, by the way. Ah prologues can be so cruel.

Brandon Sanderson / Re: Mistborn 3 Annotations Discussion *Spoilers*

Ok, so maybe I'm over thinking this. But with the number 16 thing and the Mist Sickness, etc. etc. According to the metal chart it doesn't make sense that there would be atium Mistings as one of the 16... which one was left out?? And does that mean there were lerasium Mistings? Where were they? What would they do?

As i left he told Harriet that he wanted to RAFO me but that was the first deep question about one of his books....

Sad! It's not like there aren't plenty of questions to be asked!

Though, granted, people are kind of obsessing over TGS right now....

=( I went to the Chicago signing and I was so excited I forgot all my questions. Lol.
He even asked me when he signed my book, "Do you have any questions?"
And all I could do was smile.
Next time I'll bring a page of them so I don't forget.
(Also I was hesitant asking about any of his books because it was tecnically a TGS signing.) Oh well.

and I don't have time to go to the store until tomorrow. So much for reading it all in one sitting...
=(
Anyone else esperience this??
Pages 128-159 are just blank.

Now I'm depressed because I currently have no outlet for my Lightsong-Speaking-Like-Spook fantasies.
*sigh*

I would like a twitter account for Spook before he learned to talk right. But that's just my opinion

Dragonsteel is at the BYU library--if you did want to interlibrary loan it (assuming it's not currently checked out).

My library sucks at interlibrary loans. I'm still trying to convince them to go out of state. Every time I go, I ask... and I get denied. But I'm confident I'll wear them down eventually.

no, this would be the B&N in Evanston, IL  :P

Yea, Illinois bookstores aren't too up to date on any of Brandon's books.
I went to Border's first and they said there copies weren't in yet and they were only getting 6.
Then I went to Barnes and Noble and they had them all with Brandon's other books. I was hoping for a convenient display. Maybe I'll build one and sneak it in there once I'm back in the country...

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Natalie Portman (I mean, come on we have the same first name, there's a bond there) But she is also 27, aka ten years too old for the part. I don't think anyone over the age of 25 should play a teenager, it's not realistic enough. My opinions:

Vivenna:
Natalie Portman http://www.imdb.com/media/rm1287752448/nm0000204
or Kiera Knightleyhttp://www.imdb.com/media/rm356291584/nm0461136
(Both are similar and could be sisters but neither are young enough to play Siri)

Siri:
Juliette Lamboley http://dvdtoile.com/ARTISTES/117/117011.jpg http://www.todaystars.com/site/images/Acteurs/Julap.jpg http://www.alalettre.com/images2/juliettelamboley.jpg
(Though she is French and I don't know if her English is good enough)
or Jennifer Lawrence http://www.imdb.com/media/rm3327563520/nm2225369 http://www.imdb.com/media/rm2931136512/nm2225369

Vasher:
Daniel Criag http://www.imdb.com/media/rm2143328000/nm0185819
(I agree mainly because of Quantum of Solace. I know the movie wasn't incredible but it showed that Craig could be a bad ass, semi likable, and antisocial at the same time, which I think are the qualities of Vasher

Lightsong:
Neil Patrick Harris http://www.imdb.com/media/rm3788081920/nm0000439
(I'll admit I've never seen him act and never heard of him before this thread but solely on his looks, I like it. I completely disagree with Ryan Reynolds, no matter how serious of a part he plays I just can't take him seriously)

Denth:
Sam Worthington http://www.hunkymalecelebs.com/images/hotm_image_jun2009.jpg
(He might be a little bit too pretty)

Tonk Fah:
Adam Beach http://www.hunkymalecelebs.com/adam_beach/pictures/6.jpg
(A little too think but the face is on)

Parlin:
Aaron Ashmore http://www.hunkymalecelebs.com/aaron_ashmore/pictures/5.jpg

Dear God I've been doing this for hours.
I might revise this later. Peace

Wow, you guys are *still* going on this?

You really expected us to have something better to do?

EDIT: not adding anything because anything I've discovered has already been posted =) y'all are so dang efficient

Just thought I'd share a random thought:
Next time you're reading through Mistborn and you get to the fight between Vin and Shan, play the song "Girlfight" by Brooke Valentine. It's quite entertaining.

I bought Brisingr. Because I read Eragon and Eldest and they were decent. A nice beginners book to fantasy. Low reading level, typical plot line, decently enjoyable.
But I only read the first chapter before I put it down and haven't felt the inkling to pick it up since. I mean, HELLO! They were talking about their male parts. Like... are you kidding me? It's not that it offended me, more like it made me laugh. But not in a good way. I mean, I watch South Park, I'm used to that kind of humor but... Gosh, it wasn't even funny. It was just... immature.
Bad Paolini... bad bad Paolini.

I know this is way after you've originally posted. But Depp's wonka wasn't that terrible. Weird: yes. But I think that was what he was aiming for. I didn't like his interpretation personally but I don't think he did a poor job.

Ok So I've only read up to Book 9, and now I'm rereading from the beginning just because.
Rand: Pisses me off. To no end. I didn't like him all that much in the Eye of the World until I read it a second time and just because he's the Dragon Reborn shouldn't make him a jackass all the time. Yeah, I get it, it sucks to be him, but whining about it and being an ass isn't gonna stop it. Might as well make the most of what he can. Things were looking up with him last time.
Mat: He really is annoying up until The Shadow Rising where he slowly starts to improve. And then he actually became one of my favorites once he was in Tanchicho
Perrin: I started loving him once he met Faile. I loved his POV and got really excited everytime he made an appearance starting in The Dragon Reborn. That excitement has faded but eh, whatevs.
Moraine: I love Moraine. I have always loved Moraine. It hasn't changed.
Elayne: I have never liked Elayne. She was annoying, has always been annoying, and will probably always continue to be annoying.
Min: I mean, whatever. She's fine. I really have no opinion about her. Maybe a little annoying.
Egwene: I LOVE EGWENE! She can be kinda dumb sometimes (Particularly in The Dragon Reborn and The Shadow Rising) but I love her almost all the time. Ugh, I was so pissed when her and Rand stopped loving eachother. And I'm not longer pissed, but I still feel they should have stayed together. Maybe she would have stopped him from turning into a jackass.
Faile: Love Faile. Always have loved Faile. Nuff said.
Bairelan (I know this is spelled wrong, don't want to look it up) : I used to find her annoying, but I have a new respect upon rereading the series for her.
Lan: He's legit awesome. Probably one of my favorite characters.
Aviendha: I love her too. Probably Third behind Egwene and Lan. I think Rand should really just blow off Min and Elayne and stick with her.
Siuan - wasn't gonna mention her, but I vaguely remember me being very impressed with her after she was stilled and very entertaining to read.
My mind grows fuzzy. I should go read to clear it =]

Anyway I'm excited because this will be the first huge, epic series I read from the very beginning!

Dude! Me too! I'm psyched. While I love stand-alone novels; I have an obsessive personality, so I love being able to grasp onto a series because there is more material to obsess about.
ANYWAY - SO EXCITED!!
