Rants and Stuff / Re: I can't wear my backpack in the grocery store?

I was often asked to do that in stores in the Orem mall, but never in a *grocery* store.  I bet they wouldn't have asked you to check a briefcase, but they probably just single out backpacks.

wow fuzzyoctopus.... look. we are sorry... and there are 3 of us.

I just don't understand what's so hard about behaving like a normal, well-raised human being when you're on a new message board. What is it that makes you people think it's ok to go nuts and post random, senseless crap in threads that are 3+ years old, post random "blah blah blah" nonsense, over and over and over.  You wouldn't go up to people having a conversation in a grocery store and start screaming random nonsense at the top of your lungs and expect them to like you and carry on a conversation with you, why do you kids expect it to work online?

No, I'm serious.  This "Oh there's three of us, we all made different accounts and we all talk the same and we post on different accounts 2 minutes apart" is a pile of poo.

Sprig, please feel free to start banning.

I hate you all.  I'm out of town until the 21st.

Well, I'm out of state until forever if it makes you feel any better.  :-/

I dont' care so much what he's best known for, but rather what would I be most likely to enjoy reading? (Sometimes they're the same, yes, but often not, for me.)

Better question: What book or books of his should I read in order to begin to appreciate his greatness?

I hope when I have kids they saw things like that.   ;D

From a coworker today regarding the new uniform shirts and how easily they get dirty:

"These shirts pick up everything except MEN!"

There's this house for rent in town that I am eyeing hungrily.  It is also close enough for me to bike to work should I so desire.  Very tempting.

Well I finally finished "Singer From the Sea", which was quite long, but a really really excellent book, which I would recommend to all the fantasy lovers out there, especially those of you who like it when people combine sci-fi with fantasy.  And all the women on here, since it's kinda geared that way.

Since I have tomorrow off I'm going to start "Six Moon Dance," after which I will have to decide if I want to continue reading books by Sheri S. Tepper until my brains fall out, (If they're as good as the last one, the answer will probably be yes) or if I should move on to something different.

It does make me want to get a car that's powered on something other than gasoline. Prices are going to get crazy.

I would be there in a heartbeat if we had any conceivable way of affording a new car.

I'm not going to panic, but I do feel like curling up into a fetal position and just giving up.

I'm assuming at least one of you has watched a few minutes of "America's Got Talent".

Key to not getting kicked off - pander to one of the judges.
